Welcome to our new website!
Our goal is to see all five species of rhinos thrive, and we can’t do that alone. To conserve rhinos for the future, we need more people to know about the five incredible species that live in our world, and why, more than ever, they need protecting.
We hope that our new website will make it easier for you – our family of rhino supporters – to find out about rhinos and how you can help protect them.
We’ve got information on each species, the latest population numbers and news from our partners in the field about their everyday work.
While we’d love not to have to share the latest poaching statistics with you, poaching remains the biggest risk to rhinos today, and it’s vitally important that we can all see just how many rhinos are being poached each year. If we can track these numbers and prevent poaching on the ground, then we can help rhino populations grow in the long-term.
With three out of the five rhino species listed as Critically Endangered, our work is just as important as ever. And, we cannot ignore the current issue that everyone is facing globally: Covid-19. The pandemic has not only made things difficult for people living in lockdown, but it is putting rhinos at risk due to the overnight drop in tourism and the urgent need for rangers to keep patrolling while staying safe and healthy.
Thanks to your support, we can work closely with programs across Africa and Asia to make sure that they have what they need to keep rhinos safe. Whether this means purchasing new tracking equipment for rhinos, improving ranger kits, or investigating new routes of illegal trade, we are working to reduce (and eventually halt) the threats that rhinos face.
Thank you so much for being part of our rhino community. We can’t save rhinos alone – you’re making it possible.
